I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our website,
brand new for the year 2003. I hope very much that you find the
information within the site to be both useful and interesting
and that you enjoy your visit. You may be an active member of
the Armed Forces, a U.N. Veteran from another country or perhaps
a member of the public who is interested in military history.
Whatever your background we are delighted that you have found
the time to look into the life of Post 20, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.
The
site was primarily developed to simply highlight the work and
structure of our own Post within the IUNVA (Irish United Nations
Veterans Association) organisation and also to document in more
general terms, the work both historic and current of Irish U.N.
Peacekeepers around the world.
We
would love to hear from you where ever you may be so please visit
our guest map and leave us a message. We are also collecting interesting
stories relating to U.N. Peacekeeping Missions. We especially
would like to hear from anyone who served or are serving with
Irish United Nation Forces overseas, please feel free to visit
our Guest Map.
Finally, I would also like to thank all of our wonderful membership
for their hard work and service to both their Post and the local
community that we live in.
Bill Reidy
Chairman Post 20
Irish United Nations Veterans Association.
