Medal Parade in Columb Barracks. Minister Mary O'Rourke presented medals.

Widows reception in Newbury Hotel and presentation of cheques to local charities. Also presented to Collinstown Pitch & Put Club a cup to be played for each year.
Feb 12th
A.G.M. in Newbury . New committee elected.
Feb 25th
Post member Billy Dunne died. R.I.P. Full honours rendered at burial.
Feb 27th
Billy Dunne: Removal to Cathedral.
Feb 28th
Billy Dunne: Buriel after Mass. National Executive in attendance [Chairman, Secretary]. Posts in attendance:- Cavan, Suncroft Curragh, Limerick.
March 3rd
14 members travel to Enniscorty. Presentation of IUNVA medals to families of deceaced members of Post 3, Wexford.
March 10th
Travelled to Delvin for St. Patrick's Day parade. 15 members in attendance.
March 13th
Travelled to Cork for funeral of National Vice Chairman, Walter O'Sullivan.
March 17th
Took part in local St. Patrick's Day parade [24 members turned out] . National Chairman took march past sulute. Function on same night in Newbury Hotel.
May 26th
Athlone, Church of Ireland, Irish Veterans Memorial Project. Memorial day for deceased of all wars.
June 22|23
Annual Convention. D.E.T.C. NCO Mess Ceannt Barracks Curragh Camp. Eddie Robinson elected National Development Officer.
July 12th
Open Day in Columb Barracks. IUNVA had a very good display. Sparrow attended.
July 18th
Open Day in Longford. Another good display.
Sept 14th
Travelled to Enniscorty for Annual Mass for Tpr Edward Gaffney who died in action in Elizebathville in 1961. Chairman made presentation of IUNVA madallion & scroll to Edward's sister & cousins.
Sept 27th
A function for the widows of soldiers that served in Columb Barracks, Custume Barracks Athlone, Connolly Barracks Longford. A presentation of IUNVA madallion & scroll was made to the family of the late Matt Quinlan, who served in Jadotville Congo in 1961. Mrs. Quinlan, mother of Matt travelled from Carrick on Shannon to attend the presentation. Mrs. Quinlan is in her eighties and we were delighted to see her.

Presentation of Chain of Office to President of IUNVA in Post 15 Cavan. Donated by Post 20 Mullingar.

Post 20 member John Flynn passed away. R.I.P.
Oct 26th
John Flynn: Removal of remains to Cathedral.
Oct 27th John Flynn : Laid to rest in Ballyglass. Full honours renederd and remains piped by lone piper to his final resting place. National Executive Cavan Suncroft attended.
Nov 17th Travelled to The Curragh for a Wreath Laying Ceremony in an old graveyard that Post 11 took over and cleaned up. It was the first time that such a meeting was held in that graveyard since 1922. The British Legion and Dublin Fuziliars took part. We then went to Ballyfax, County Kildare to lay wreaths at the graves of fallen soldiers from the British & Dublin Fuziliars. Battalians of yesteryears.
Nov 20th Post 20 visited UN School in The Curragh. A worthwile experience.
Nov 24th We travelled to Mohill in Co. Leitrim to the annual Mass of the late John Manning. Lay a wreath on his grave. John served with A. Coy 35th Battalion in The Congo in 1961. He was wounded in Jadotville and taken captive there. After there was a meal in a local hotel with a presentation being made to John's family of the IUNVA madalion and scroll.
Dec 7th Annual Christmas Diner & Dance in Lake County Hotel.
Dec 22nd Collection in Dunne's Store car park for local charities.
Dec 23rd Attended Post 11 [Suncroft Curragh] Christmas Diner & Dance in Newbridge.
Dec 24th Christmas drinks & chat in Post 20 offices.
